About the job
• Provide support to Spare Parts, PDI, Paint, Maintenance, Quality, Inside Sale and Shipping areas.
• Work closely with inventory management team to drive operational improvements, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving and coordinating processing issues.
• Review parts metrics including inventories, quality, fill rates, back orders, profitability and sales.
• Research new local sources to replace current intercompany parts supply wherever make sense from a total costs point of view.
• Deliver 300K USD annualized savings through renegotiations and resourcing activities.
• Escalate with supplier pending shortages, back order, transport and collection issues.
• Support the identified variation in the incoming receiving, invoicing, P. Orders processes till the final resolution.
• Participate actively to support parts strategic business development plan.
• Join the annual supplier quality evaluation meeting and take responsibility for the outcome, as appropriate
• Support Director for Supply Chain in parts business budget preparation.
• Approve Purchase Orders according to Delegation of Authorities.
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving activities and creating change.
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a continuously changing environment.
• Support the parts flow process in accordance with accepted JIT practices and lean concepts.
• Demonstrated ability of bench market current supply base for continuous costs improvement.
• Good verbal and written communication skills: ability to establish and maintain partnerships with suppliers and internal resources to support customer requirements.
• Understand and support company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Job requirements
Skills:
• Fluent English in both written and speaking form;knowledge of a second language between German, Italian, French is not strictly requested, although it may be a differentiator in the selection criteria
• Demonstrated skills in teamwork activities
• Proven purchase experience
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology ( JIT, Kanban, Kaizen techniques, etc.)
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of internal colleagues, as well as vendors and outside clients
• Good communication and people skills
• Experience with budget processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Able and willing to change the status quo and effectively champion change
Preferred Previous Experience:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing and supplier management experience in a lean environment.May have multi functional background (i.e. welding, paint, and assembly processes).Must be performance driven.
