Reference Check
We always check one or more references for each candidate. Rather than to just go by a good story told by the applicant, we ask the former employer about his experiences in the professional relationship and his opinion on the candidate’s strengths and weaknesses. We usually check these personally by visting the company if located in The Netherlands.
The STAR Method
STAR stands for Situation-Task-Action-Result. This is a behaviour-oriented interviewing method in which questions are asked about behaviour and the context in which that behaviour occurs. It is a suitable method to establish competencies. The STAR method will be used in recruitment and selection, performance and coaching interviews. Furthermore, it offers our basis for a personal training plan (PTP). The method focuses on finding concrete behaviour in concrete situations. In a selection interview the method gives us a clear image of whether the applicant satisfies the required competencies or behavioural criteria you set up.
